" From practice we understand that the herbs and the foods we eat, elevate our consciousness. "

Generally, all herbs are better on an empty stomach. And, if you get too detailed down, it'll be impossible.

[Student] If you what? If you get too detailed,

it won't be possible. I recommend all herbs and supplements pretty much not with food. On the other hand, vitamin A, D, and E, which are oil-based, with food.

[Student] When in the day it's better to take them?

It's better in the morning and midday than it is later on in the day because your powers of absorption decrease as the day goes on.

[Student] What about before going to sleep? Is that a good window for herbs in general?

No.

[Student] Not so much.
- No. It's really morning, midday.

[Student] Morning, midday.
- Yeah.

[Student] How much ?

Before breakfast? After breakfast ? But wait, don't get confused. There are things you should take at bedtime. For example, magnesium could help you from restless leg syndrome. Take it at night because you're getting it at night. Serotonin, Tryptophan will help you sleep. Take it at night. Do you see what I mean? So we'll always have to be go-with-the-flow of what the situation. But in general, you'll want to take your herbs in early morning, mid-morning and less and less as the day goes on.

[Student] You said about the oils, the oils to take with food?

Yes. The oil's soluble, the E, the D and the A. So you gotta see the whole thing's working together but we want, in a sense, think about Reishi as the ultimate physical enhancing herb. Character. And I understand, actually I mean it. This is really what we're talking about.

[Student] Can you repeat that?

Yeah.

I think we should think about Reishi as the ultimate enhancing, elevating herb. And it supports you in your spiritual life because you want that to happen, then it's easier for it to happen.
